Grand Pharmacist Alliance, Pakistan Pharmacist Association condemns the brutal act of blasting the peaceful Protestants in Lahore, Pakistan.

Grand Pharmacist Alliance (GPA), Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA) has condemned the today’s brutal act of blasting the peaceful protestants in Lahore, Pakistan. The chemist, druggists and pharmacist have organized a nonviolent protest in Mall Road, Lahore, against the recent amendments in Drug Act 1976 and Drug Rule 2007. These amendments have been approved in provincial assembly. But, unluckily, the terrorist elements have availed this chance to produce unrest in society and state. Dr. Taha Nazir president of GPA has condemns this terrorism on behalf of the pharmacist community, health professionals and drug experts. He has insisted the government agencies to arrest and sentence the culprits of this brutality.

May God the departed soul to rest in peace and Jannah.

Reaction against the Ammendments in Drug Act 1967

In all world, even in USA (FDA Approved ) companies have SOPs to handle substandard, if u r a industrial pharmacist then u must know, how product stability works and which factors involved in its deterioration. If our govt implement such a non sense to treat substandard (out of specs)as spurious s then how could a sensible person stay quite? Its really a shame to implement such act without giving any facilitation to pharma sector.
Technical person (who used to be mostly pharmacist) will be treated on non bailable offenses.
No job security still u will be punished.

All Technical persons who are pharmacist s will have to face non bailable offenses along with the CEO ‘s on minor issue i.e. Friability , color change misprinting etc. No such fines & imprisonments on; out of specs (substandard) in whole world or any instringent regulatory authorities; e.g. FDA EMA TGA MHRA etc.

Totally against such amendments. You can’t put CEO & Technical persons ( pharmacists) in non bailable offenses.

Shamoon Chaudhary – an energetic, dynamic and versatile personality of pharmacist community. He is pleading the local pharmacy graduates with foreign PhD/ MPhil degrees and notified the accreditation of M.Phil degree issued by local and international universities.

Shamoon Chaudhary – Secretary Punjab Pharmacy Council (Pb.) has issued the notification No. PPC/1283/17 dated 31.12017 regarding the official accreditation of M.Phil degree of local and international universities. Mr. Shamoon Chaudhary is a versatile, dynamic and ambitious personality. He is determining to address miscellaneous academic and administration problems of pharmacy profession. But, unluckily, he doesn’t have sufficient support from professional body and government officials.

Moreover, currently, he is

working to figure out the best possible solution for local pharmacy graduates with foreign PhD/ MPhil degrees. He wants to induct them into their relevant academic and research positions. He is excellently pleading this case. But, the local institutional heads and clumsy government officials added so many illogical allegations regarding their disciplines, titles of PhD degrees, academic composition the degree awarding institution etc.
