Pharmaceutical Review (Staff Reporter) The Provincial Quality Control Board, Punjab is a quasi-judicial body established under section 11 of Drug Act 1976 and the rules framed thereunder. It has been functioning since 1980s. The PQCB Core Team comprise of Mr. Ali Jan Khan Secretary, P&SHD Chairperson, PQCB; Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Special Secretary (Operations) Vice Chairperson and Mr. Muhammad Munawar Hayat Secretary, PQCB.

Unluckily, they also have a fraudulent culprit Mr. Sajid Bashir; taken as board member of this prestigious institution. This stupid culprit has successfully failed the drug manufacturing project worth of approximately 0.8 billion, after 18 years of its deployment.

This selection confirm the poor recruitment procedure of it board members. The appointing authorities and search committee should be asked the fundamental criterial. Because his entire history is full of corruption, misleading and frauds, particularly in the University of Sargodha.  The pharmacist community demand the prompt removal this culprit. That will help to improve the public health and performance of public department of Government of the Punjab.
