The major pharmaceutical professional issues discussed are include; Drugs Rule, 2007, Designing Pharmaceutical service structure, Establishment of independent directorate of pharmacy profession; Appointment of Pharmacist in each department of Hospital; Confirmation of the employment of pharmacists working on temporary or contract basis; Minimum starting wage of equivalent to the 17 scaled Gazetted officer; Establishing the District Level Structure; Advertisement of the Vacant and Announces Posts; New Recruitments and Appointments; Pharmacist as Focal Person; Pharmacists in National and International Programs; Practice Oriented Training/Education; Organizing the trainings programs, seminars and conferences to update the knowledge of Pharmacists; Appointments of pharmacists in armed forces, naval hospitals, combine military hospitals (CMH’s) in uniform and Appointment of qualified pharmacists in autonomous institutions i.e. Railways, WAPDA, PTV, PIA etc on permanent and regular basis with all benefits.
They also have designed the strategy to move forward to make a effective advancement. Moreover; both are agreed at certain crucial points to avoided unnecessary wastage of time, and resources.
