Subject:           18TH INTERNATIONAL PHARMACY CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION (IPCE ) 2013; 26-29 SEPTEMBER, 2013

With regard it is stated that your “Professional Group” have announced the schedule of the 18th International Pharmacy Conference & Exhibition (IPCE) 2013; entitled “Role of Pharmacist in Health System Strengthening” dated 26-29 September, 2013 on behalf of Pakistan Pharmacist Association. The registration fee of this conference is Rs. 3000 for registered pharmacists/ students; Rs. 5000/- for accompanying person and $ 300 for foreign delegates (detailed brochure attached). But; unluckily it is not your prerogative privilege to chair or organize this conference on behalf of Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA). Because; the last election of Pakistan Pharmacist Association was held in September, 2009; your professional group has won and established an executive body for two years 2009-11. Thus; your officially permitted tenure of two years has over. You also have already enjoyed one illegal, unethical and unprincipled extra bonus year along with regular session. That is an explicit violation of “article of association” and professional norms. Thus; it is categorically recommended you to announce the election schedule instead of this 18th International Pharmacy Conference & Exhibition (IPCE) 2013.

Moreover; your “Professional Group” does not qualify to organize any activity on behalf of the Pakistan Pharmacist Association because of failed to attain the desirable professional objectives. The prevailing disappointing situation of life saving profession of pharmacy is an explicit evidence of your failure. We can provide a “White Paper” (if intended) to describe the evidences of your poor performance during all previous twenty five years. The pharmacist community is already well aware of these facts. We can feel it in our daily professional life. We can notice it every time, everywhere and every day in hospitals, community practice, industries, drug regulation/ enforcement and in world of academia.

This conference is useless practice and wastage of resources; that can be substantiated as under;

1                 This conference spread the message to local and international participant that we are explicitly non-democratic, autocratic and disintegrated community. You will be failed to communicate your designed professional message of “Role of pharmacist in health system strengthening”.

2                 If you hold this conference successfully; that will confirm that

  1. Pharmacy community is incompetent, worthless, ineffectual and careless. That can be driven by any one, any way and any where.
  2. Pharmacist community does not care for usefulness/ effectiveness of professional programs. They just want to follow rather than focusing the objectives and goals.

3                 We need to establish the rule of law, healthy norms, and institute valuable ethics for our following young generation. Thus; you should announce election schedule instead of conference.

4                 We need to improve our impression in public and other scientific/ technical community that we are principled, prestigious, well organized and influential community. We have good professional and democratic values. We conduct our election within defined time. We have smooth professing working to run our activities.

5                 If you disclose the election schedule instead of conference; that will then enhance our honor and establish valuable professional credibility. It also shows our commitment with our “Article of Association”.

6                 We also need to discourage and condemn the selfishness, monopolization, unfair lobbing and illegal/ non-professional activities to attain the described professional goals by conducting successful election procedure instead of conference.

We shall highly appreciate it you please acknowledge our request. That will also save the unnecessary wastage of time, resources and expertise while avoiding the pleading and filing an official judicial petition.

Thanks and kind regards;

Looking forward for an early and positive response;
