He was addressing press conference along with Secretary Health Babar Hayat Tarar and DG Health Dr. Zahid Pervaiz, here today. Khwaja Salman Rafique told that the employee from grade 5 to 8 would be promoted as junior technician while the employee from grade 9 to 11 as technician in grade-12. Likewise, the employee from grade 12 to13 would be promoted in grade-14 as senior technician while employee of grade 14 and 15 as Chief Technician in grade 16 and it will be applicable to all employees working in all technologies and a total of 27905 employees will benefit from it.
Furthermore, all employees working in grade-16 in all technologies would be promoted to grade-17 and above and these posts have also been upgraded. It will benefit 1485 employees. Secretary Health informed that the promotion to grade-17 and above would be made as per service rules.
Replying to a question, the Secretary Health told that after up-gradation of paramedics, the case of employee of class-4 would be considered separately. With regard to regularizing the employee working on the seats of Board of Management of autonomous hospitals, the Secretary informed that the concerned hospitals are bound to give pension and other benefits to these employees. He said that if an autonomous hospital or medical college can bear the expenses, it can regularize the employee after approval Board of Management and Health Department would have no objection.
Khawaja Salman Rafique said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, Health Department has crossed the milestone of giving service structure to paramedics. He hoped that now the employees will work with more zeal and hard work.
