An “Iftar Party” organized by the Pharmacist Federation Pakistan, Islamabad and Rawalpindi Chapter on August 25, 2011 (Thursday) at Lane 5, Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi. After Mughrat prayer the participant pharmacists envisaged the miscellaneous professional issues in formal meeting. Mr. Asmat Ali Gill hospital pharmacist, Valley Clinic Hospital, Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi said the existing government system does not support the qualified pharmacist to plays their profession role. The non-professional and non-technical people are legally permitted to deal with life saving drugs, innocent patients and health care professional. Mr. Hafiz Arshad Mehmood Production Manager, Wilson Laboratories, Islamabad said our academic teaching institutions does not provide the exact professional, clinical and scientific expertise. There is big gap in existing academia and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Taha Nazir Associate Professor, Riphah International University said we have to think about our representing associations and regulatory bodies; which are not fully playing their professional role to make necessary changes in drug rules, clinical setting and pharmacy practice. While; Mr. Iradat Hussain, President Pharmacist Federation, Rawalpindi and Lecturer Margall Institute of Health Sciences, Islamabad said that we have to improve the awareness about pharmaceutical care in society, administration and health care system.
