Srinagar, April 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the supply of fake medicines to the hospitals of the territory and described it as a pre-planned conspiracy against the Kashmiri people.Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a public gathering in Srinagar deplored that supplying bogus medicines to the hospitals of the territory was aimed at putting the lives of patients at stake. He said that the bogus medicines had caused killing of more than 700 people only during the last year.
He said that the puppet administration had failed at all levels to provide basic day-to-day necessities to the people of Kashmir. He said the services of Department of Health towards patient health care and providing genuine drugs to the hospitals have always remained questionable.
The APHC Chairman said the recent revelation about the deaths of hundreds of children at the children hospital due to spurious drugs and ill-treatment amply demonstrates the wretched condition of the health department. He said the tall claims made by the leaders in the so-called Legislative Assembly that Kashmir was on path of prosperity were just a political gimmick to mislead the people of Kashmir.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq stressed the civil society of the territory to raise voice against the anti-people policies of the authorities. He called for an end to brutalities by Indian police and paramilitary forces under draconian laws, Armed Forces Special Powers Act and Public Safety Act.
He emphasised that the mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, buried inside Delhi’s Tihar Jail be returned to the Kashmiris.
