The President Pakistan Pharmacist Federation (PPF) Dr. Abdul Haleem Khan Ph.D (www.pharmafed.wordpress.com) has sent message in all over the Pakistan to celebrating the “World TB Day; March 24, 2012” and improve awareness against tuberculosis.  That will help to cure and eradicate the global epidemic of tuberculosis (TB) and improve efforts to eliminate the disease. One third of the world’s population is currently infected with TB. The Stop TB Partnership, a network of organizations and countries fighting TB, organizes the Day to highlight the scope of the disease and how to prevent and cure it.

The annual event on 24 March marks the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch detected the cause of tuberculosis, the TB bacillus. This was a first step towards diagnosing and curing tuberculosis. WHO is working to cut TB prevalence rates and deaths by half by 2015.

The theme of this year’s World Water Day is also significant to supply pure and quality water. Moreover; the Un-Water and Un-Habitat are coordinating this year’s World Water Day activities globally.

Dr. Abdul Haleem Khan has also pointed out miscellaneous medical complications; renal stenosis, kidney failure, cholera, hepatitis etc, that typically be seen in Pakistan. Thus; the pure and quality drinking water should be supplied in all over the Pakistan to avoid these complications.
