Pharmaceutical Review (www.pharmareveiw.wordpress.com). Pharmacist Federation of Pakistan condemned the statement of Public Account Committee that all Drug Inspectors are corrupt. They have protested against abusing the Health Department and prestigious institutions of Punjab Pharmacy Council. These professional regulatory bodies have contributed a lot in provincial Health Department. Moreover; they said the professionally competent and honest pharmacists have given appreciable services in health sector of Pakistan. They have played excellent role in their very limited resources. Furthermore; the pharmacists have numerous threats and challenges from illiterate leaders, insincere politicians and crooked officers. They said; Public Account Committee should have to focus over poor clinical services, substandard service structure, pharmaceutical procurement and violation in health sectors.
Additionally; they said, if they are really serious to benefit the public then re-store and enforce the (suspended) drug rule, 2007, advertize the vacant pharmacist posts in province, make sure the award of drug sale license to qualified Pharmacist only and appointment of clinical pharmacist in each ward of every hospital of the province.
