Pharmaceutical Review (Staff Reporter); On behalf of the writ petition No.: 11161/2013 filed in Islamabad High Court Islamabad; it is recommended to all pharmacists to avoid get involvement in illegal, unprincipled and unethical 18th International Pharmacy Conference & Exhibition dated 30thOctober-2nd November, 2013. This conference is illegitimately called by “Professional Group” of Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA). This group has no mandate to organize any activity on behalf of the PPA. Their official legitimated tenure has already been expired since October, 2011(defined in Article of Association https://pharmaceuticalsreview.com/content-upload/uploads//2012/03/article-of-association-constitution.pdf). Hence; professional group is misusing the official funds of PPA. While, the honorable Judge Mr. Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan Islamabad High Court Islamabad has called to Syed Khalid Saeed Bukhari President PPA Centre, WHO Country Adviser Medicines at World Health Organization, Pakistan; Mr. Ayaz Ali Khan Chairman Organizing Committee/ Chief Drugs Controller, Health Department, Government of the Punjab, Lahore/ Executive Member PPA Punjab and Mr. Nadeem Iqbal General Secretary PPA Centre to explain the situation. If professional group of PPA did not stop to violate the regulation and held this unprincipled conference; a damage recovery may then be imposed by court.

Therefore; pharmacists are warned to avoid becoming part of this unprincipled conference and professional group. Let then alone for this illegitimated Organizing Committee. Otherwise; a heavy financial recovering may be imposed by court to compensate the professional and organizational damages.
