Pharmaceutical Review (Asif Farooq Awan – Staff Reporter). A press conference has been called by Prof. Dr. Syed Atif Raza – President PPA (Pb.), Zafar Gondal – Vice President PPA (Pb) on August 19, 2019 in the Lahore Press club. Prof. Dr. Atif Raza thanked the pharmacist community for trusting, electing and awarding the mandate to represent the community for Punjab province of Pakistan. He also acknowledged the role of seniors and juniors for playing their pivotal role to uplift the profession.
Additionally, he has explicitly rejected the illegal conference being called by some non-elected people. They are misleading, misusing and misrepresenting the PPA. He also has emphasized the pharmacist community to spread out loudly his message and refrain themselves from such illegitimate and bogus activities. These people are grabbing money by misusing the name of PPA from innocent students, researcher, professor and pharmaceutical industries.
Lastly the president PPA stated that the tenure of PPA Punjab is about to expire. So the cabinet has unanimously appointed Mr.Zia Khan kakar as Chief Election Commisioner (CEC). to assure the successful execution of upcoming election of PPA Punjab Branch in October, 2019. Mr. Saif Ullah Khan Niazi stated that pharmacists are grateful of current headship of PPA for successful completion of their electoral tenure. He told that his group is committed to establish the democratic system and ethical values and excellent professional norms for next generation. Finally, Mr. Zia Khan Kakar (CED) has announced the date of election.
