Situation vacant for the various posts (Apply up to 24-01-2011 (Monday) during office hours)
- Applications are invited from the Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, on the prescribed form
(separately for posts on BPS-17 & above and on Tenure Track System) obtainable free of cost from the Registrar’s Office during office hours or can be downloaded from University website link (https://www.uvas.edu.pk/downloads/default.aspx) for the following posts for making appointments on regular and Tenure Track System (TTS) with the prescribed qualifications mentioned against each post. - Applications are required in quadruplicate (Four Sets) for the posts of Professor, Associate Professors and in triplicate (Three Sets) for the posts of Assistant Professors & Lecturers and in duplicate (Two Sets) for administrative post (BPS-17 & above) complete in all respect, with attested copies of testimonials, certificates, experience certificates with specific dates, transcripts alongwith one recent attested passport size photograph and a crossed bank draft/pay order of Rs.500/- (non refundable) drawn in favour of Treasurer, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore.
- Persons already employed in any Government or other organizations should submit their applications through proper channel within due date. The requisite No Objection Certificate from present employer must reach in the Office of the Registrar before or on the last date for the receipt of applications failing which such applications will be treated as rejected and no call for interview will be issued.
- All Government employees who intend to apply for any post through proper channel shall clarify through the Heads of the attached departments that there is no pending inquiry/outstanding dues against them. Moreover, there are no adverse remarks in any of their annual confidential reports. These conditions are necessary for the grant of departmental permission certificate/No Objection Certificate (NOC).
- Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
- The candidates holding professional degrees must be recognized / registered by the relevant Council i.e. Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council/ Pakistan Pharmacy Council.
- The University reserves the right not to fill any vacancy without assigning any reason or consider a person for appointment in a lower cadre against the post advertised. The University also reserves the right for short listing of applications and to increase or decrease the number of posts as per availability of posts / funds at the time of interview.
- Interview call letters will be issued to only eligible candidates and ineligible candidates will be informed separately.
- 2% quota in each category of posts is reserved for disabled persons.
