Patron: Muhammad Tahir Khan B.Pharm (Graduated in 1952)

The honorable Patron of Pharmacist Federation (Pakistan) and Pharmaceutical Review Muhammad Tahir Khan has qualified his graduation in Pharmacy in 1956 from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. He was one the pioneer pharmacy professional who form and established the Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA) in 1952. And then elected as Secretary General of PPA (Pakistan) for the session of 1952-53. Moreover, he was president of PPA Sindh during the session of 1980-82. Professionally he used to work at different executive positions with Frerozsons Laboratories, Wyeth Lederle Cyanamide (Pakistan) Ltd., Merck Shop & Dom Pvt. Ltd. and Platinum Pharma. He has international exposure of pharmaceutical manufacturing, Boots Lab. Pvt. Ltd., Nottingham, UK and different French pharmaceutical companies. Respected patron is now a day’s associated with miscellaneous social, welfare and political organizations. He resides at West ridge, Rawalpindi and spending a peace retired life. Dr. Nazir was awarded the degree of PhD Microbiology by Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan after successful completion of his research work entitled “Prevalence, characterization and clinical evaluation of indigenous Mycobacterium tuberculosis” in 2010. Whereas, he received the degrees of M.Phil. Pharmacology from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and B. Pharmacy from the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. The major research areas of Dr. Nazir are innovative drug designing, drug resistance, chemical pathology and immunology. Moreover, he has more than 25 year’s research, academic and professional experience with exceptional knowledge of molecular biology, chemical pathology, clinical pharmacotherapy and epidemiology. He has published research ≥60 research articles in accredited scientific journals and authored six books. Moreover, Dr. Nazir has worked at miscellaneous prestigious positions of Associate Dean, Associate Professor, Chairman – Board of Director, and President Pharmacist Federation. This organization is working to manage the chemicals in local market, that are integral to the modern way of life in the 21st century where consumers buy thousands of chemical products every single day ranging from household detergents to automotive paints; from fertilizers to crop saving pesticides and from pain-relieving medicines like Disprin to life-saving drugs and vaccines. PCMA is facilitating its members by providing the latest information on the developments in chemical industry world-over besides introducing best practices through regularly organized events e.g. seminars, workshops, trainings, exposure visits etc. So, Nasir Aki Shaikh working to establish the regular liaison with government ministries, regulatory bodies, international agencies, fora, etc. Our work with the government focuses on imports substitution efforts.

Director of Pharmacy Services at Afroze Memorial General Hospital, Patron-in-Chief at Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (PGA), Worked at Assistant Professor Faculty of Pharmacy Iqra University, Karachi, and Former Director – Pharmacy Services at 24/7 Pharmacy & Vaccination Center. Prof. Zain Ul Husnain also has served as Chief Pharmacist at Chief Pharmacist – Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and compleed course work for Ph.D at Ziauddin University, Karachi. Additionally, he has completed the M.Phil – Pharmaceutics at University of Sindh, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from Federal Urdu University of Arts Science & Technology and B. Pharmacy from University of Karachi, Pakistan.
