Pharmaceutical Review (www.pharmareview.wordpress.com). Pakistan Pharmacist Federation (www.pharmacistfed.wordpress.com) has organized a “Condolence Meeting” regarding the sad demise of Ms. Hira Furukh has held in Sargodha Pakistan. The participants has prayed to Almighty Allah to bless her peace and Jannah and grant Sabr to her family.
Ms. Hira Furukh has got her Pharm-D degree from University of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, Pakistan. She was mostly tried to participate in professional activities. Unluckily, she got 65% burn injuries while performing her duties as Pharmacist in Surgitex, Lahore, Pakistan. Definitely, this sad incidence happened because of poor safety measures, inappropriate protection and unavailability of First Aid/ CPR. All participants of this meeting felt very sorry for this sudden death. Ms. Hira Furukh is now “Shaheeda” according to the Islamic Sharya Law. Because she passed away in a sudden fire incidence, while performing her job in pharmaceutical industry. She was serving the nation, producing the life saving drugs and working to help the ill people.
But, on other hand, she left so many questions for pharmacist community, civil society, bureaucracy, health professionals and establishment of the state. She has assigned us very significant tasks. She has uncovered the serious negligencies and discrepancies.
