The event brings together representatives from the ministries of health and insurance schemes of nine countries – Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mexico, Myanmar, Namibia, the Philippines, and South Africa. In addition, approximately 30 to 40 representatives of international development agencies, development partners, academia, and the private sector, including the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, will be invited to participate.

The goal is to define needs and challenges relating to medicines coverage in UHC schemes and jointly develop potential solutions.
